Nick Cannon Named New Host Of America’s Got Talent

Mariah Carey’s husband will be busy this summer!  Last week Jerry Springer announced that he wasn’t returning to NBC’s talent competition, “America’s Got Talent”, because he’ll be busy with his talk show and with a role in a stage play.  NBC has now signed Nick Cannon to take over as the show’s host and will work with the 28 year old musician, comedian, actor and producer on numerous other projects.  Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff will all be returning as judges. 

I liked Jerry as the host of AGT but it will be fun to see what kind of energy Nick brings to the job – and how he deals with some of the crazier acts.
