As you might expect, several tribute videos are out now on YouTube and below is a link to my favorite so far. It is the perfect example of “laugh while you cry”. I especially like that the skit used was this one because when I think of Harvey I do think of the guy trying valiantly not to lose it in the middle of a sketch. His reaction always made everything so much funnier! When you click on the link below – have a tissue on hand:
Once you’ve dried your eyes, check out this piece from the LA Times. Robert Lloyd did a great job of summing up who Harvey was as a comedian:

Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough have decided that, since they didn’t get to perform a Foxtrot or Paso Doble on the show, they’ll put them out on YouTube! Here is the first of their videos. Shannon was interviewed last night on E! News by Samantha Harris and said that they are continuing the “are they, aren’t they” dating dance because they think it’s more interesting that way. It certainly looks like they had a good time together making the video!

The boys are playing again! George Clooney and Brad Pitt (and just about everyone else) are starring in the new Coen Brothers film “Burn After Reading”. It’s set for release on September 12th and looks like it should be fun. I’m also thinking Brad may have been channeling his character from this movie when he did his delivery man bit in the Ben Affleck/Jimmy Kimmel video. LOL!

In the theme of everything old is new again, Eddie Murphy is set to reprise his role of Det. Axel Foley for Beverly Hills Cop 4. All I ask is that he please only play one character. Brett Ratner (of the Rush Hour movies fame) is set to direct so without a doubt those involved have plenty of experience with the genre.

Ok, go ahead and judge me. I can’t help it. I just get a kick out of this girl! TMZ has footage of Kendra Wilkinson arriving at a restaurant and…..being herself.

The New York Daily News is reporting that the FBI has questioned country singer Mindy McCready about her relationship with Rogers Clemens. The thinking seems to be that, if she really did have a 15 year relationship with Clemens, than she might know something about the whole performance-enhancing drugs mess. AND, McCready is doing a documentary about her life and the producer says she discusses Clemens. Looks like things may get even uglier than they already are.

TMZ is reporting that Clay Aiken and his best friend/record producer Jaymes Foster are expecting a baby in August. Looks like they are still waiting on word from Clay’s rep. I can’t wait to find out what Clay’s response will be!

First of all, I have to confess that I’m not a watcher of American Idol. Way back when it started the promos Fox used really put me off the show. I related too much to the people trying out and I couldn’t stand the way they were being held up to ridicule. I do understand that in subsequent seasons people auditioning should have known what to expect and, in many cases, were actually seeking it out. But in that first season, it all just seemed very mean to me. Having said that, I have enjoyed quite a few of the performers discovered through the show and there is no question that to make it to the end a person has to be a great live performer. This morning the final two Davids (David Cook and David Archuleta) performed on The Today Show. They were both so much better than the vast majority of performers that I’ve seen on that stage that I had to post links to the clips. Plus, they both come across as very genuine. And hey, you gotta love “Cougars for Cook”!

My favorite of the pro dancers on “Dancing With The Stars”, Mark Ballas, shared his summer plans with celebrities.com while at the club Coco de Ville on Tuesday night. There isn’t going to be a DTWS tour this summer but Mark and Derek Hough will be touring with their band, Almost Amy. He also reinterated his wish to dance with Jennifer Aniston. That’s one of the reasons I like this kid – he’s got great taste. LOL! Click on the link below to watch the video from celebrities.com. He’s a cutie:
