I love this kid. He’s a pretty good ukulele player but it’s his interpretation of the lyrics of the Jason Mraz song, “I’m Yours”, that really make the performance.

Let’s not discuss that guy who was so clearly desperate for attention last night. Instead, let’s rewatch what should have been the VMA’s big event: The Michael Jackson tribute featuring Janet Jackson.
I can’t tell whether the leak of this song was intentional or not, so there’s a chance this might be pulled off YouTube at some point. For now, though, let’s just enjoy.

I know. Me posting a video by Eminem is nothing short of bizarre but the shots of Tiger Stadium being torn down pushed all my buttons and I was wiping away tears by the end of it. Eminem’s lyrics, and certainly his original video, for “Beautiful” are self indulgent to say the least but placing the song in this broader context worked for me.
Warning: This is still Eminem so the language contained in the video is definitely R rated.

The CPDRC prisoners in the Philippines, who burst onto the viral video scene 2 years ago with their version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, have staged a tribute to the fallen King of Pop. It’s both odd and entrancing – which I suppose makes it very fitting:
